The value of action

This morning I didn't feel like doing anything at all. I felt like that all the way as I drove to the office.

I got to the office I still felt like that. It certainly seemed like one of those days where I'd get nothing done.

Instead of getting stuck and sulking about my situation. I took the action I knew I needed to take even if I didn't feel like it. That was to cold call and book a couple of sales appointments.

And that was it. Immediately after having that first call that cloud lifted. The very act of taking the action I was procrastinating about lifted that gloomy feeling.

It's simple really. The next time I feel gloomy, just look at what I haven't done that I know to do and do it.
